Privacy Policy
Pigeon Mafia is a small browser game. This page explains, in plain words, what we store about you and why. We keep it to the minimum the game needs.
What we store
- Your pigeon name (nickname) and your game progress: crumbs, upgrades, businesses, daily scores, streaks, badges and the cosmetics you wear. Nicknames and scores are public: they appear on the leaderboard and on your public profile.
- A login token, kept in your browser (local storage) so the game knows who you are. Only a one-way hash of it is stored on our server. This is not a tracking cookie.
- A scrambled network fingerprint: when you join, we store a salted one-way hash of your IP address. It is used only to limit how many accounts one network can create per hour. We cannot turn it back into your IP address.
- If you choose "Continue with Google": an anonymous account ID from Google sign-in (via Supabase Authentication) so we can recognise you on another device. We do not store your email address, your real name or your profile picture in the game's database.
What we do not do
- No advertising and no ad trackers. No selling or sharing of your data.
- No analytics profiles of you. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time to keep the service secure and running.
Who processes the data
- Supabase hosts the database (Frankfurt, Germany) and handles Google sign-in.
- Vercel hosts the website and the game server.
- Google authenticates you only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Names and moderation
Names are checked against a list of blocked words, and we may rename or remove names that are offensive or impersonate others. Please do not use your real full name or other personal details as your pigeon name.
Children
The game is made to be family friendly, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from young children. We store no email addresses and no real names. If you are a parent and want a child's account removed, contact us using the address below.
Your choices
- You can play as a guest without any Google account.
- You can ask us to delete your player and all its data, or to correct it.
- Clearing your browser data removes your login token from this device. A guest who loses the token and has no backup code or linked Google account loses access to that player.
